Northwestern Mutual had been in their Westport office for years and the space had become tired and outdated. Rather than a refresh, we all agreed that a complete gut-renovation would give the feel of a new office without moving. Reorienting the reception area and conference rooms, so that they were more inviting to visitors, gave the entrance the better exposure to natural light and views. The pantry was larger than before with a full wall of windows, and open, exposed ceilings. Of course new finishes, furniture, office fronts, and lighting throughout gave the feel of a new office, unrecognizable from the former space.
